Window Tinting, PPF & Ceramic Coating for Vancouver WA Drivers
Vancouver WA's Trusted Source for Professional Vehicle Protection
Clark County drivers deal with the same Pacific Northwest conditions that wear vehicles down across the region: gravel spray on I-205, UV damage that happens even under cloud cover, and road salt tracked over from eastern Washington in winter. But finding a certified installer on the Washington side has always meant fewer options and longer wait times.
Elite Window Tinting serves Vancouver, WA, from two convenient Portland metro locations, our Milwaukie shop on McLoughlin Boulevard and our Beaverton location off Highway 217. We're the only Platinum XPEL dealer in the greater Portland–Vancouver metro area, the highest certification XPEL awards to its installer network, and our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience in window tinting, paint protection film, and ceramic coating.
From downtown Vancouver, our Milwaukie shop is roughly a 15-minute drive south on I-5, often faster than crossing town during peak hours. Camas and Washougal residents can reach us via I-205 in about 20–25 minutes. Whether you're commuting into Portland for work or making a dedicated trip, we make it easy to get professional-grade vehicle protection without compromising on quality.
Professional XPEL Services for Vancouver, WA Drivers
Elite Window Tinting offers a full suite of professional XPEL services for vehicle owners in Vancouver, Washington, and the surrounding Clark County communities.
Window Tinting
Window tinting in Vancouver, WA, does more than sharpen your vehicle's appearance. XPEL PRIME XR Plus ceramic tint blocks up to 98% of infrared heat and over 99% of UV rays, making a noticeable difference during the summer months when interior temperatures in a parked car can exceed 150°F, even in the Pacific Northwest.
Washington state allows window tint with a VLT of 24% or less on all sides and rear windows for sedans, and even darker tint on rear windows for SUVs and trucks (source: RCW 46.37.430). That's actually more permissive than Oregon's 35% VLT front-window minimum, so Vancouver drivers can go darker on all windows than what's legal across the river. Our team will help you choose the right shade for your vehicle, ensuring you stay compliant with Washington law while maximizing heat rejection and privacy.
Every installation comes backed by XPEL's lifetime transferable warranty, and the nano-ceramic technology won't interfere with your phone, GPS, or Bluetooth signals. Learn more about why XPEL ceramic tint outperforms standard film for heat reduction.
Paint Protection Film (Clear Bra)
XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film is a virtually invisible urethane layer that shields your paint from rock chips, road debris, bug acids, and minor scratches. The film's self-healing top coat means light surface scratches disappear on their own when exposed to heat — a feature XPEL pioneered and continues to lead the industry in.
If you regularly drive I-5, I-205, or SR-14 through the Columbia River Gorge, you know how quickly gravel, construction debris, and road grit can damage a front end. A professional clear bra installation in Vancouver, WA, protects the areas most vulnerable to impact: hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors, and rocker panels. As a Platinum XPEL installer, we offer the full range of coverage options from partial front-end packages to full-body wraps. Not sure whether PPF or vinyl wrap is right for you? Our guide on clear bra vs. vinyl wrap breaks down the differences.
CERAMIC COATING
Portland–Vancouver rain is relentless, and XPEL FUSION PLUS ceramic coating is engineered to handle it. This professional-grade ceramic coating for Vancouver WA vehicles creates a hydrophobic barrier that repels water, mud, bird droppings, and tree sap — keeping your vehicle cleaner between washes and making maintenance significantly easier year-round.
For the most complete protection, we recommend pairing ceramic coating with paint protection film. The coating bonds over the PPF to add an extra layer of gloss, water repellency, and UV resistance. It's the combination our customers ask for most, and the one that delivers the longest-lasting results. For care tips after installation, check out our guide to maintaining your XPEL PPF or ceramic coating.

Cross-River Convenience: Why Clark County Drivers Come to Us
Vancouver, WA, has limited options for XPEL Platinum-certified installation. Many Clark County drivers already cross into Portland for work, shopping, or dining, and a quick stop at our Milwaukie or Beaverton shop fits naturally into that routine. Here's what makes the trip worthwhile:
No Oregon sales tax on services: Oregon has no sales tax, period. When you have your vehicle serviced at our Oregon locations, you pay Oregon prices, no additional sales tax added to your invoice. For a service that can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars, that difference adds up.
Platinum XPEL certification: We're the only Platinum-level XPEL dealer in the Portland–Vancouver metro area. That matters because Platinum status requires proven installation volume and quality over time; it's XPEL's way of identifying its top shops nationwide.
Two locations, flexible scheduling: With shops in both Milwaukie and Beaverton, you can pick whichever location works best for your schedule and commute. Many of our Clark County customers drop off their vehicle on the way to work in Portland and pick it up on the way home.
FAQS
Our team of experts is always happy to answers any questions, but here are some we hear frequently.
How far is Elite Window Tinting from Vancouver, WA?
Our Milwaukie shop is roughly 15 minutes south of downtown Vancouver via I-5, making it the closest location for most Clark County drivers. Our Beaverton shop is about 20–25 minutes away via I-5 to Highway 217. Many Vancouver customers drop their vehicle off on the way to work in Portland and pick it up the same day.
What are the window tint laws in Washington state?
Washington requires a minimum of 24% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) on all sides and rear windows for sedans. SUVs and trucks can have any darkness on the rear side and rear windows. The windshield allows a non-reflective tint only on the top 6 inches. Washington also requires a certification sticker to be placed between the film and the glass on the driver's side window, which we include with every installation. See RCW 46.37.430 for the full statute
Can I get a darker tint in Washington than in Oregon?
Yes. Washington allows tint down to 24% VLT on front side windows, while Oregon requires at least 35% VLT. That means Vancouver, WA, drivers can see noticeably darker windows on all sedans. However, if you regularly drive in Oregon, be aware that Oregon law enforcement may enforce their own 35% limit. Our team can recommend a shade that keeps you compliant in both states.
Do I have to pay Washington sales tax if I get my car tinted in Oregon?
Oregon has no sales tax, so you won't be charged sales tax on services performed at our Oregon locations. Washington's use tax may technically apply to goods purchased out of state, but vehicle services performed in Oregon are not subject to Washington sales tax. We recommend consulting the Washington Department of Revenue for specific tax questions.
How much does window tinting cost for customers in Vancouver, WA?
Window tinting pricing depends on your vehicle type, the number of windows, and which XPEL film you choose. XPEL PRIME XR Plus ceramic tint costs more than standard film but delivers significantly better heat rejection and durability. We're happy to provide a free quote. Give us a call at 503-786-1020 (Milwaukie) or 503-917-5522 (Beaverton), or contact us online.

Absolutely. We install XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF, which provides a virtually invisible shield against rock chips, road debris, and minor scratches. It's especially popular with Vancouver WA drivers who commute on I-5 and I-205, where road debris is a constant concern. Learn more on our paint protection film service page.
